As much as I don't want to put you guys to work, I think getting as much help as I can is really going to be the driving force in ramping up activity here at EPL.
That being said, I'm turning to our members for help!
I've been doing what I can to try and get new members for EPL but, as you might imagine, there's only so much one person can do. That's why I'm turning to you guys to help and spread the word about EPL!
Word of mouth
Honestly, I think word of mouth is going to be the best way to promote us. Since I don't have many personal friends who play X/Y, I've been going around to old websites I used to frequent (or still do) and talking to friend I've made and letting them know about EPL. I've even taken to social media to try and get people to register (more on that below).
Social media
Many of us nowadays are on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. Why not use these great tools to network with others who share similar interests? Personally, I've been going on different Pokémon-themed Facebook fan pages (such as PokéLogic and Pokelectronics, to name a couple) and posting a link to the site for fans of the page to see. I'm not saying go out there, spam, and get yourself in trouble, but I think social media has a lot to offer in the way of promoting EPL.
Other gaming/Pokémon forums
Depending on how you were referred to EPL, you might be a member of another gaming- or Pokémon-related website or forum. Put something in your signature to promote EPL! You can use any images posted below if you wish. Note: it's probably a bad idea to PM people on other sites asking them to check us out. From personal experience, people don't take too kindly to that.
It also wouldn't hurt to mention the fact we're seeking Gym Leaders! That would probably be a good way to pique peoples' interest in at least visiting EPL.
If you do choose to help promote EPL, I would immensely appreciate it! Getting our name out there and getting more people to register means a more fun, vibrant community for us all. Plus, if we can get enough support, that means we can start League play up sooner!
